Life presents many opportunities, questions, ideas, thoughts, inspiration, motivation, curiosities, challenges, rewards, etc. Yesterday life presented a seed for thought and today I have been in pursuit of a particular bit of knowledge. Yesterday when I called my mom, as usual I asked, “how are you, how is everything?,” she answered, “not so well.” So I asked what’s going on and she said, “I have cancer.”
I’ve been through this particular Q&A a few times before and still it’s difficult, but I hold tenaciously to the universal laws. I know that fear and worry are detrimental. I know the only way to transform undesirable conditions is to maintain divine attention on desirable conditions. The great challenge or obstacle is that so many people, my mom included, have a tendency to be swayed by negative conditions and let their thoughts stay too long on the undesirable. This makes it difficult, if not impossible, to overcome these great challenges. This is precisely why I tend to hold back on sharing my own discomforts with others. I find it challenging enough to carry on without the added burden of other’s fears and worries.
But still, life is good and sharing the good in life makes it better, so sharing is a natural part of being. So, I shared my mom’s revelation to my fiancé, albeit with a little reservation for the same reason I stated before. His response led me down a new path of investigation, in search of Baltic amber. It turns out his stepmother had the same condition, thyroid cancer, many years ago and was cured with Baltic amber (bursztyn ba?tycki)!
Amber soothes, calms, eases blockages, enlivens empty spaces and so much more.
Amber is ancient, dating from the Eocene epoch 44 million years ago. Home to the largest known deposit of amber is the Baltic region. Amber, or Baltic amber, is also known as succinite because it contains succinic acid.
The source of amber is the organic resin of conifer forests, the tree’s blood — this resin is what a tree uses to seal injuries and repair itself, its purpose is healing and protecting vital energy. It is estimated that these ancient forests created more than 100,000 tons of amber. The only extant representative of this family of trees is the Japanese umbrella pine, Sciadopitys verticillata.
Amber is an organic substance that can last for millions of years without changing greatly in any way. It seems to have an essential nature of immortality, or at least of enduring longevity.
It has been used and highly prized for its natural beauty, healing, and protective qualities since ancient times. The Greeks noticed that electricity is generated when you rub a piece of amber over a cloth, so their name for it was “elektron,” representing its active life energy. It is also a clue about its healing and protective qualities. Amber, although appearing to be still and inanimate, is quite alive and electromagnetically active producing negative ions that have a positive effect on the body or human energy system.
Scientific research has shown that succinic acid has a very positive influence on the human body — it is anti-inflammatory, fights free radicals and helps relieve stress and pain. Baltic amber contains 3 to 8% succinic acid and is recognized for it anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties by allopathic medicine as a natural analgesic (pain reliever) which can help to relieve many painful conditions, e.g., throat, ear and stomach infections, respiratory diseases, eczema, colic, teething, arthritis.
Amber warms against your body and small amounts of healing oils are released. Succinic acid will be absorbed through your skin, enter your bloodstream, stimulate your thyroid, relieve pain, improve immunity, balance acids, reduce drooling and inflammation, accelerate the healing of wounds, improve organ health and function, e.g., heart, liver, kidneys, intestines.
Amber is safe, natural, beautiful, unique, warm to the touch, easy to care for (simply wipe clean with a damp cloth).
Baltic Amber is a traditional European baby teething remedy which has become popular all over the world. Amber is used in meditation, healing massage, and charms for protection.
Amber is truly a gift from Gaia, our great mother earth, is it any wonder then why people often walk the shores of the Baltic sea after the great storms to collect amber to fashion into magical objects they could wear and trade?
