Who can benefit from Reiki?

Reiki is universal life force (energy). Reiki Ryoho is the system or therapy that utilizes this divine, intelligent energy.
I cannot say if this is a new development or not, but it is certain that in this fast-paced time humans tend to abbreviate things. We strip away words that seem to be unnecessary, and that’s OK, even desirable for the most part, until the foundational knowledge or information gets lost or corrupted from lack of context.
The word “Reiki” has come to be known as the therapy, or system of treatment itself, and that’s where it gets a little confusing. It isn’t immediately clear what you mean when you say “Reiki,” e.g., do you mean Universal Life Force, or do you mean Treatment or Therapy?
For the most part, we can assume that most people use the word “Reiki” to refer to Treatment or Therapy. So, in this context, we can say that Reiki (therapy) is beneficial to all life forms in this universe.

However, Reiki (therapy) is not a substitute for any medical treatment. It is a complementary healing process, an adjunct, or supplemental healing modality that unlocks the body’s innate ability to self-heal. The Reiki practitioner is merely a channel for energy from the divine source. Reiki is not dangerous or harmful, you cannot overdose or draw too much energy, the body only takes what it can and will use.
Always be mindful of the sensations of energy you feel, they can be very subtle but you will find they are undeniable. Keep in mind that it is not uncommon for the practitioner and the receiver to have completely unique sensory experiences. Sometimes the receiver may experience nothing at all and think that Reiki is not working. Reiki is quite often a very subtle energy and yet it can have profound results which become apparent in the following days or weeks. The energy will travel to wherever it is needed the most and works at all levels, physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
There are many reasons for varying degrees of benefit, but I would suggest that it is primarily related to a vibrational match of the giver and the receiver of the gift.
You may be familiar with this quote, “There is not a spot where God is not.” This may be said of Reiki, it is omniscient, omnipresent, everywhere, always. That is the definition of universal 😉 However, we individuals have the great gift of free will, choice, the right to choose what we give and receive. Unfortunately, we are often too ignorant to choose well. But when we do choose perfect synchronicity, our vibrations are harmonious with the universe itself and our cup is filled with the joy of life.
